Year 372
Two brushes, side by side, on a clock. One is gone by day 299. The other is still there in the year 372.
The film runs a timer. On day 44 both handles look fine. By day 169 the bamboo is going soft at the edges; by day 299 it has broken down into the ground and left nothing behind at all.
The plastic one does not move. Same shape, same colour, still sitting there in year 372 — outlasting everyone who ever held it. Every plastic toothbrush ever manufactured is still somewhere on this planet right now.
The 203-year-old whale
Bowheads outlive everything. This one has plastic caught in its baleen.
The ocean is filled with microplastics and nanoplastics. It has already become part of our food chain, causing disruption in hormones, inflammatory diseases and irreversible damage to our health.
The whale feeds by straining seawater through baleen, so whatever is in the water is what it eats. The film shows what gets caught in there now. It isn’t krill.

Climate change has led to erratic monsoons, heatwaves, landslides, forest fires and unpredictable floods. This has led to crop failures and a rollercoaster economy.
The film does not end on the storm. It ends with a goat grazing in the sun on dry grass, which is the whole argument: the system that broke is the same one that can come back.
The Power of Music
Listening to the Walkman was popular back in the day. Music was powerful and it influenced our lives. Fortunately we did find a better way of storing audio — but the landfills are left with a never-ending waste.
Ocean divers have found 25-year-old audio cassettes still intact on the sea floor. These take hundreds of years to decompose. They break down into microplastics, and have found their way into the human food chain.
Each one is a plastic shell wrapped around a ribbon coated in heavy metal. They were sold as disposable. They turned out to be nothing of the kind.
Choose cruelty free
Several global brands continue to test their products on animals.
Look for chemical-free products with natural ingredients, and make sure they are packed in biodegradable packaging.
Nothing on our shelf was tested on an animal. There is no formulation we sell that ever required one.
The new paranormal
Plastic is now part of the food chain.
Roadside garbage has been the number one reason for illness among animals and birds. It has shortened their lifespans.
It is a joke for about four seconds, and then it isn’t. The animal was the one who did the reading.

Indian premium luxury brands have always laid emphasis on handmade products. Handmade products have a charm of their own.
What follows is the actual message: buy handmade, support local. A machine can make the object faster. It cannot make it matter.
